Registering online with ElderCollege is very easy. You just need an email address. Our registration system (Amilia) is easy to get started with, and there's even a video to help you.
If you have registered with us before but haven't logged in for a while, now's the time to make sure you can remember your password. If you can't remember it, simply go to the registration website and, at the login page, click on Forgot Password then follow the prompts. Why should you register online? So many reasons: - it's fast, easy and convenient - you can sit in your pajamas and not have to deal with phone calls, lineups or paperwork - our registration system is open 24/7 - you can see how many spaces are left in our courses in real-time - you can take as long as you want to browse, and make as many changes as you want before you pay - you can manage your own payment. But we know that not everyone is comfortable registering online, so we also offer two other ways to register. You can phone us starting on Tuesday, September 6 (9 to 4:30 only), or come along to our Open House on Thursday, September 8 (10 am to noon). So fill your Fall with learning, and why not bring a friend along for fun! See you in class!

We've just sent another eNewsletter to our rapidly growing number of subscribers. Thank to everyone who's been helping to spread the news about ElderCollege far and wide.
This edition of the newsletter gives information about our summer closure, some Spring course highlights, a preview or two for Fall courses, and when you can expect more information. Did you miss our latest eNewsletter? You can read it here.
We added a new Geology bus trip in June, and the opportunity to win one free ticket to Bard on the Beach Bound is rapidly approaching (May 15, in fact). Be sure to have a look at Kate's Photo Picks, images that truly reflect what ElderCollege does best, and of course, our gallery is always full of new surprises! Be sure to have a look at our preview of Fall classes too so you can start planning! Did you know that "word of mouth" promotion is the best marketing tool for any business? If you have enjoyed the classes you've taken with ElderCollege this past term, don't be shy about sharing that with your friends and colleagues.
Here are three easy ways to share:
Is there is a benefit to helping to spread the news of ElderCollege by word of mouth? Absolutely! By helping us to keep our advertising costs as low as possible, we can continue to price our courses at a very affordable level. Term 2 classes start next week! Be sure to register now so you don't miss out on the classes of your choice.
Read our latest eNewsletter for more details. And tell us what you courses you want to attend in the future by participating in our survey. Midge has been busy interviewing facilitators and writing lots of articles on the diverse range of course offerings we have this Spring. We hope you are enjoying our eNewsletters!
If you missed our latest one, you can read it here. Are you a 50+ woman with a disability or who is new to Canada? BC Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support and the North Shore Disability Resource Centre are hosting an 8-session workshop called "Breaking Isolation: Engaging and Empowering Older Women Against Violence and Abuse". See the literature for full details.
We've just sent another eNewsletter with some great photos from our first week of classes! So many smiling faces!
