Zoom is an internet-based face-to-face video meeting tool that allows participants to join from the comfort and safety of their home or office, using a desktop or laptop computer, smartphone, or tablet device (here is a demonstration).
Zoom is a safe tool that does not require any personal information to be provided. Meeting participants are sent a meeting ID and password (it will be different for every meeting), and are only allowed to join the meeting by the host. |
The YWCA has introduced a FREE program to help you overcome any tech challenges that you may be experiencing. Their team of IT professionals will help you with computer updates, to safely browse the internet, to set up security, to access government services, connect to video conferencing, and more.
To get started, just email techlink@ywcavan.org to book an appointment. You will be able to access the services by email, virtually or over the phone. Appointments are available from 31 August 2020. |
